Richard W | Klaus Schulze - The Music Box (Studio 1993) @RichardW001 | Uploaded May 2022 | Updated October 2024, 52 seconds ago.
The title The Music Box stems from a Stan & Ollie classic.
The complete title is The Music Box, Tongemälde in Fis-Moll [German = Sonic Poem in F Sharp Minor].
The working title was "Meditation 1, Der Einstieg", its original length was about 120 minutes, but with the last 50 minutes being a loop only. In ULTIMATE EDITION and LA VIE ELECTRONIQUE 12 the fade-out is about 5 minutes longer than in SILVER EDITION.
A copy of this recording was given to the Guttempler Orden, for therapy to help alcoholics.
"O che sciagura d'essere senza coglioni!" is from Voltaire's Candide, "balls" being the vernacular for "testicles". The sentence is in Italian in the original French.
"Übrigens sterben immer die Anderen" is the German translation of Marcel Duchamp's epitaph, « D'ailleurs c'est toujours les autres qui meurent ».
