In this quick video, Chad goes over the basic tools needed for making your first kitless pen. This video is meant to be a primer on the tools to give you an overview of what's needed to make your first kitless pen.

First here is a list of the tools pictured in the video, including sizes and drill bits you will need to make a kitless pen with an M13 Cap and Body, M10 internal body threading and a Jowo 6 nib. (a good/popular starter/learning kitless size).
This list is comprehensive list of what you'll need! !
Drill bits needed:
31/64 (for the cap)
23/64 (for the body)
9/32 (for the section- 1 of 4 needed)
5/16 (for the section- 2 of 4 needed)
21/64 (for the section- 3 of 4 needed)
3/8 (for the section- 4 of 4 needed)
#3 center drill (for lead holes)
Taps and Dies (for cutting your threads):
M13-.8 Tap (for internal cap threads)
M13-.8 Die (for body threads-external)
M10-1 Tap (for body threads- internal)
M10-1 Die (for section threads)
M7.4-.5 Tap (for Jowo 6 nib)
Mandrels (for holding your pieces to shape and finish):
M13 Cap mandrel
M10 Body mandrel
M7.4-5 Section mandrel
Optional Items that are not required but that we use and recommend.
Collet Chuck
5/8 collet (for your cap and body mandrels)
1/2 collet (for your section mandrel)
Hinze tenon Cutter with setup bushings (for cutting precise tenons for your threads)
7 Piece tap and die holder set (holds your taps and dies for precision threading)
Drill chuck
And don't forget your Jowo #6 nib!
That list along with an awesome blank and whatever you use to finish/polish resin pens will get you your first custom kitless pen made!
