learned a new tip today watching a kitchen installation. The contractor set a base board cleat at the back of the wall level from the high point in the kitchen. The cleat board is the same height of the kick board in the front of the cabinet. This way the cabinets will all be level with each other and make it alot easier for the counters to sit on level cabinets. He also installed screws into the studs so they can hold a lot of weight. Very smart.
