Everyone knows the first Gourmet Race theme from Kirby Super Star, but the second theme remains in the shadow of its older brother, played only once in the whole game, never reused in future games, and only plays for about half of its true length. In fact, the second race is so quick that I never even knew the second half of the song until I recently went into the KSSU sound test and listened to the whole thing. It's a cool song, so I decided to make it in Mario Paint.
Like my last video, I use the original soundfont and (almost) no dickspeed (there's a fast trill and triplet part near the end which I don't think my tempo of 684 could do justice, so I tripled it). I do, however, use one of the 4 new instruments for the first time (if you don't count my real soundfont video, that is). They are usually too quiet to be useful to me, but the Pirannha Plant came in handy in the bass solo.
Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
