Here's how this is going down: I'm doing Ultra Hard Mode of Kirby Air Riders Road Trip. Not New Game Plus, just regular new game to get the progressive encounters. And of course if an Air Ride Machine dies, I have to forfeit it and I can't use it for the rest of the run. That's pretty much it.
