last night i mysteriously had a random urge to play this level, and im glad i ended up playing it because it was fun and not really like any extreme ive beaten before. this level is quite skill based which im not often a fan of but i think this level does it in a way thats really fun to play. honestly my complaints mostly come from not being able to see anything at the drop because its so flashy, which makes it way harder in a frusturating way. still its not the worst thing in the world and i still really enjoyed this level. i also heavily fw levels where the second half becomes much more intense and darker in theme, like this one does. if this is up your alley i would recommend playing!

uh volume warning i guess lmao, kinda feels nice to have a big reaction to something though.
after over 2 years i finally beat a new hardest! i was gonna do something much harder, and while i did get 70% it was stressing me out and i wanted to do an easier hardest first to feel more comfortable with levels of this difficulty. anyways yeah, this level is really fucking hard. i guess its debatable if it is my hardest but dude, ive never played a level that forced me to get consistent at gameplay this difficult, ive never played a level so punishing towards such small mistakes. it was brutal, but i did have fun playing it.
discussion about each part i guess: the spider is absurdly hard at the beginning, and it is, but because you have to play it so much i started to pass it really often and id say i enjoyed it, some clicks felt too hard but i mean... it wouldnt be a hardest if it didnt have hard clicks. despite how frustrating the ship can be i found it to be one of the most fun parts of the level, even though its probably the hardest part in any level ive beaten, the ship control was really fun to master. the ufo was the only part i kinda just disliked, my deaths didnt really feel deserved and the amount of bonking you have to do/avoid makes it feel pretty awkward and inconsistent. the wave is also insanely hard but it felt really fair tbh, except maybe 58% that click is just way too hard imo. the rest of the level is cube, and it definitely gets much easier from this point, id also say they were my favorite parts of the level, mainly because of the structuring and how nice they felt to play.
i like how this looks a lot, the deep blue works really well with lapses music, and it makes it calming to play in a way. it has some cool structuring ideas that make the gameplay somewhat quirky and really satisfying to play. for a hardest id say i had a really good experience on this, i definitely got really frusturated at times but mainly because i was dying so much, which... yeah dying tends to happen a lot on new hardests. i even took a death to 99% which sucked but honestly didnt really bother me.
overall a fun learny timing level that im glad i did as a hardest, i would recommend trying it out if its for you and youre okay with how first half heavy this level is.
