Kings Peak hike to 13,528 ft. Tallest mountain in the State of Utah and one of Utah's eight "Ultra Peaks" with 5000+ ft. Prominence. It's also the Highpoint for Duchesne County Utah. 2014-08-02. From Dollar Lake basecamp, hiked to Gun-sight Pass, traversed to the Anderson Pass Cut-off, and then followed the ridgeline to Kings. On the return, back to Anderson Pass and dropped into the steep chute known as the Toilet-bowl. (Because yes, once your in it, you literally get flushed out on loose scree/dirt. It's mostly controlled fall) Top of Utah! Done.
