Welcome to a new series of shorts that I am doing on YouTube, Kingdom Hearts Missables. What is a missable? Well it's just anything in the game that is time sensitive, in other words if you pass a certain point in the game you will no longer be able to view a certain cutscene or obtain a particular item for example.
So In this series I aim to compile every Missable in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix so that you don't miss out on anything during your playthrough and even if you did, you can watch this series to catch up!
So during our second visit to Traverse Town, Cid asks us to deliver the Old Book to Merlin (this is the book that becomes the 100 Acre Woods). After delivering the Old Book to Merlin, go talk to Cid in the Old House (in Traverse Towns 3rd District), and then afterwards Cid can be found standing on the upper ledge between the alleyway and the back of the Accessory Shop. Talk to him and he will give you a Comet-Gummi. As soon as this has happened Pinocchio can be found cowering near the entrance inside the Accessory Shop.
If we walk up to Pinocchio and speak to him, a cutscene will trigger where Jiminy introduces Pinocchio to the party. Pinocchio can no longer be found here once we have been swallowed by Monstro, and therefore the cutscene is completely missable after entering Monstro.
This missable cutscene also explains how the party knows Pinocchio already once they get to Monstro.
