Welcome to episode 13 of Kingdom Hearts Easter Eggs & Hidden Details.
Today we are on the looking at an Easter Egg that occurs at a very specific moment in the game. When the party first attempt to fly to Neverland on the Gummi Ship, they are intercepted by Captain Hook who captures them. Afterwards there is a cutscene where Riku demonstrates his new power over the Heartless by creating Anti Sora, a dark shadowy replica of Sora.
Eventually when we are able to play the game again, you may realise that Sora's shadow is missing. Obviously this means that Riku used Sora's shadow to create Anti Sora, hence the resemblance. Even if we leave Neverland now via the Save Point, Sora will still be missing his shadow. The only way to reverse this effect is to slay Anti Sora in battle (which happens slightly later in the story). Afterwards Sora's shadow returns.
In this series I aim to compile every Easter Egg/ Hidden Detail in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (these are various things located across the game that are easily missed or little bits of information that I find interesting).
