This is the 170th episode of Kingdom Hearts, "The Secrets of Traverse Town".
Of note, the gang that Sora and Riku run into in Traverse Town comes from "The World Ends With You", which like the Final Fantasy series, is a Square-Enix property. In his version of Traverse Town in this go-round, Sora runs into Neku, the lead character in "The World Ends With You" and Rhyme, while Riku runs into Beat and Shiki. Joshua, who seems like an Omni-present figure, greets both Sora and Riku, and explains that there are two versions of Traverse Town. This is a common theme regarding the worlds seen in KH3D.
