These young king penguins are waddling up and down the beach, considering whether the water is safe to enter or if there are sea lions lurking beneath the waves to eat them. Some of these birds are juveniles and cannot enter the ocean yet, but are learning from the others when it is safe to do so. A few Magellanic penguins wash up from the waves at the end of the video.
