Today on Indy Farm Life we’re putting two firewood machines head-to-head in a real-world test: the SuperSplit HD kinetic log splitter vs the Champion Pro 40-Ton hydraulic log splitter. Both of these splitters are beasts, but they couldn’t be more different — one is built for insane cycle speed and production output, and the other is a powerful traditional hydraulic splitter with proven reliability and big splitting force.

If you’re a backyard burner, weekend user, or you just enjoy splitting wood without turning it into a full-time job — the Champion hydraulic splitter is easier, more enjoyable, and more affordable.
If you’re producing large quantities of firewood, heating a home, or splitting with a partner, the SuperSplit HD kinetic splitter is unbelievably fast and efficient — a true high-output machine.
