The first half of Better Call Saul's sixth and final season ended with terrible unintended consequences from Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) and Kim's (Rhea Seehorn) plan to take down Howard (Patrick Fabian). Does this mean they passed the point of no return, or is there still a road to redemption for either of them? We know that Jimmy will become Saul Goodman during Breaking Bad and then Gene Takovic after he uses Ed to disappear.

In episode 7 of season 6, it became very hard to imagine a happy ending for Kim and Jimmy. Howard didn't deserve to die and while they didn't pull the trigger, it never would have happened if they just left him alone. Kim was on her way to getting the funding she needed for her pro bono practice without the Sandpiper settlement. She chose to follow through with their plan and Howard paid the ultimate price.
