Accused of commissioning the murder of Barry Van Treese nearly two decades ago, Glossip was sentenced to death on the dubious testimony of Justin Sneed, the man who readily confessed to bludgeoning the motel owner to death in the early days of 1997. With little evidence to substantiate the claim, and despite the fervent efforts of campaigners, Glossip nonetheless finds himself facing the prospect of execution by lethal injection.
