Killer Whales Trapped in Ice. A large pod of killer whales have been trapped under ice after the waters of Hudson Bay froze over. The orcas are currently stranded and clinging to one opening in the ice for air. The killer whales are able to breathe by taking turns coming up to the surface and in order to save them icebreakers will likely be needed.
