The Tiger Golf classes at Northcote Public Golf Course are growing in popularity. Claire Traill, who is the Golf Australia Community Golf Instructor at Northcote, remarks how the class sizes have tripled in recent times. Danae, mum of two Tiger Golf participants, shares how a 3pm finish would disadvantage her children. Tiger Golf participants can play for free alongside a parent or guardian during term time. A lot of these families naturally come down and play after school. We, the Northcote Community and Golf Hub, ask Darebin Council to quash the proposed 3pm finish and to simply 'Let the Children Play!' Other kids who don't play golf access their training after school at local sporting facilities. For those who want to enjoy general play in local parks, they will have an extra 5.72 Hectares on a reconfigured golf course and many of the numerous top quality parks that surround Northcote Public Golf Course.
