Finally back in the saddle after a couple of busy weeks. It's for a good cause too: Woodworkers FIghting Cancer! This years' project is a bookshelf that's modeled after a castle. The shelf dividers have passage ways for your archers or princesses, and there's even a draw bridge.

Construction is very simple, and could be completed with nothing more than a jig saw. I went ahead and dadoed in the shelves, and broke out the router to handle most of the edge rounding.

Sanding is pretty critical for this project. Not for appearance since it will be painted, but for safety. We don't want spinters or sharp edges for little fingers.

All told it was a fun build, and since it's just one sheet of plywood it's not that expensive either.

Thanks to Marc and Nicole over at The Wood Whisperer for putting this together again!
