Zira / Sarabi's story was inspired by this Mep part – youtu.be/SyfhwgSrUKw?is=HHsu96qfQDH5e4ly
where Mufasa chooses his queen from three candidates, Sarabi, Sarafina (represented by Nala) and Zira. The plot is very close to this part's AU, the three lionesses are friends, Zira and Sarabi are in love, Sarafina is in love with Mufasa, but she didn't tell him yet.
Mufasa likes all three girls, but he chooses Sarabi 'cause he thinks she's the strongest and also the oldest, he sees her as the most mature.
All three lionesses are shocked – and Sarafina hoped so much to be chosen – Sarabi tells Mufasa about her feelings for Zira, Mufasa is confused at first, he finds out Zira loves Sarabi too, then he cancels his decision and lets those two be together.
Mufasa never had deep feelings for any of the lionesses and he is a generous and kind lion, he wants all the members of his pride to be happy.
Later Sarafina finally confesses her feelings, Mufasa is surprised, he never truly noticed Sarafina before. He invites her for a date, maybe he would fall in love for real and there is going to be another happy couple in the Pridelands.
Kovu / Kiara's story here is almost canon, but probably with another lionesses in Zira's role, so this plot won't be connected to Zira / Sarabi story. Let's say it was Nirmala from The Lion Guard who raised Kovu and followed Scar's footprints.
As many times in my Kovu / Kiara videos Kovu and Kiara met as teenagers a few times, and then in the end they are traveling through the Pridelands to see the land they love and are going to protect.
