Using 1 elixir and 1 ether makes this fight far more consistent for me, would be helpful if more people tested this though.
Big problem is the elixir itself, you would need to get an extra 1 somewhere.

Turns out on ps4 you can hit 1 extra boulder at the end, but it still isnt enough to die any earlier unfortunately.")
