Here are several examples of single oscillator waveform crossfades. The Keytek CTS-2000 can crossfade between 3 waveforms per oscillator, with a 2 stage envelope (two times and an intermediate breakpoint) for each crossfade. The IC responsible for this is the SGS M114S, which was also used in the Cheetah MS800, Amstrad CKX100 and Solton K160, as well as the other Keytek models (CTS-1000G, CTS-400, CTS-5000) and some obscure pinball machines.
