Keyless evidence lockers provide a secure, controlled way to manage the chain of custody for evidence in police departments, sheriff's offices, jails, and other public safety facilities. In this video, a sworn officer deposits the evidence into the bag-and-tag side of the keyless evidence locker, while the evidence technician activates the locking mechanism to secure the evidence. From the secure back side, the evidence technician opens the large access door, retrieves the evidence from the correct compartment, and manually releases the bag-and-tag compartment so the keyless evidence locker is ready for the next deposit. This keyless evidence locker system helps keep evidence secure while providing controlled access and an efficient process for maintaining the chain of custody.
