Mary Holland of Children's Health Defense joins Jimmy to discuss the upcoming guilty plea of Danish researcher Poul Thorsen, a former CDC scientist who co-authored major studies used to deny any link between vaccines and autism. Thorsen was indicted in 2011 on wire fraud and money laundering charges for allegedly stealing over $1 million in CDC grant funds by submitting fraudulent invoices and diverting money to personal accounts, then fled to Denmark and evaded extradition for 15 years.
After being arrested in Germany in June 2025, he was extradited to the U.S. in May 2026 and is now expected to plead guilty on September 1, 2026 in an Atlanta federal court. Holland suggests the plea deal may require Thorsen to implicate others at the CDC in the alleged falsification of vaccine-autism research—a development she believes could lead to long-awaited accountability for the broader vaccine-autism narrative.
