An Evening of Remembrance: the battles of Kohima, Imphal and the Burma Campaign:
In June 2025, the year of commemorations for the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, the Kohima Educational Trust was delighted to host an evening of personal memories and tributes from family members and descendants of those who fought and died in the campaign. The event was introduced and compered by Dr Richard Duckett. Known to many of our supporters as a recent KET webinar guest speaker, Richard is an historian and the author of The Special Operations Executive in Burma and of the recently published Jungle Warrior: Britain’s Greatest SOE Commander - the story of Lt Col Edgar Peacock. Richard set the scene and guided us through the history and stories of the Burma Campaign.
