Kenya Kwanza leaders, led by President William Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet, have lashed out at sugar industry cartels allegedly exploiting the Kenyan market.

Speaking in Vihiga County during a women's empowerment initiative, the leaders called for a ban on sugar imports to protect the local sugar industry from cheap imported sugar.
