#onthisday May 4, 1970, Kent State students protesting U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War were shot at by the Ohio National Guard. Four students were killed and nine were wounded.

In 2020, C-SPAN's American History TV aired Kent State University's documentary on the shootings, commemorating that day.
