Kelli Bryant has been sentenced for first-degree child abuse charges and welfare fraud charges after leaving her three children alone for years in a Pontiac, Michigan townhome.
On February 14, 2025, deputies doing a welfare check at a Lydia Lane, Pontiac, Michigan home and found found a 15-year-old boy and two girls, 13 and 12, living in squalor. Trash was piled several feet high. The toilet overflowed. Feces were in the bathtub and through the house. The girls slept on pizza boxes. They had not gone to school. They had not been outside in years.
Kelli Bryant had moved out around 2020–2021. She lived nearby, collected about $29,397 in public assistance meant for the kids, and dropped off food about once a week.
