hello everyone! in today's video, i will be transforming into a more...femme Kefka? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) my makeup in this video is more of a mashup of Kefka's face paint from Final Fantasy 6 and Dissidia.
this is also the start of a new series, which i shall name final fantasy x shironuri. in this series i will be doing shironuri makeup based off a variety of final fantasy characters. of course i had to make kefka first because he is delightfully evil...hmm, wonder who else is coming up. :3

i kept this makeup pretty simple, mostly basing it off FMVs of him from final fantasy 6. however, i did not want to go with the red lip he wore, so i decided to do a purple lip instead, which he wears in dissidia.
for the accessories, i didn't want to exactly copy what he wore because i'm not good at sewing anything and my bank account says stop torturing me. been buying too many damn wigs and contacts lately. so instead i opted for gold hair spray, a fake ponytail from amazon, and this infant tutu i had custom made from etsy. word of advice, it's better to buy small tutus than to buy an actual elizabethan collar, because those are REALLY expensive...
i did buy blue contacts for this look, but my eyes have been way too dry to handle contacts. yes, i did film this entire tutorial not being able to really see anything that wasn't an inch away from my face. #youtuberstruggles

ever since i created my deer makeup look for the nyx face awards in 2015, ive wanted to create another look using the headpiece i originally created back then, this time incorporating my shironuri style.
this follows the basic deer face paint design youve probably seen everywhere - a brownish pink blush topped with white dots to imitate deer markings. I, however, wanted to do it in my own style.
so i made it a bit artistic! ^_^
here are some pointers on doing it, if you find this a bit difficult -
● if you cant replicate the watercolor design on the eyelids, simply just add a rosy color to your eyelids. it will still look good this way.
● its best to focus on creating splotches extending out from the outer corners of the eyes, reaching just below your temples. dont make them symmetrical. all of these splotches should fade naturally back into the eyeshadow. the splotches shouldnt extend too far out in the middle and inner parts of the eyes, otherwise it can look too overpowering.
● a liner brush works best for the watercolor effect since you able to sketch in how it should look like. i always keep my pencil liner down on my skin and just scrub the effect on. i also use lots of tiny strokes as i am better able to control the effect this way. adding dots here and there around the splotches also helps create more interest.
● the white dots should vary in size and should look like actual dots. one mistake that many people make when applying dots is rushing through it, stamping on a bunch of dots all over the face. when you look at this up close, however, it looks very messy and unsymmetrical. take your time with this and vary the sizes.
● i didnt show it in the video (because it mysteriously vanished from my camera...again), but i added brown eyeshadow on my nose and down my philtrum to fake a deer nose. simply apply this after the blush. make sure its really blended out!

for this makeup look i wanted to create something based off my current aesthetic, which is drawing plants all over my face. yeah...ok. that sounds weird to type out. but ive been wearing various designs over my eyes and face this summer. when i saw all of the trees and plants around my home come to life after the winter passed, it really made me feel calm and happy :3 so i wanted to see if i translate that feeling to my makeup.
this happens to be my most extreme version of that plant makeup. i did this while wearing shironuri, which ive been wearing for over a year now. drawing the plant shapes isnt actually that hard (at least for me now) if you know how to press the eyeliner into your skin to create the shapes. but its necessary to use an eyeliner with a short, defined tip, such as the prestige white eyeliner ive been loving way too much lately. not that its a bad thing because its very affordable lol.
also added in some of my drawings and cursive handwriting into this video as a little experiment. wow i wish i had a tablet. my hand hates me now. sadface

my last few BJD (ball jointed doll) makeup looks havent been as intricate or dare I say interesting, so I wanted to find a more complicated design to replicate. so thats why i chose this BJD faceup for.
i replicated the tiara-like design on my forehead, and represented the horn on its forehead with a teardrop shape. then i wanted to do something different with the nose, so i went with a different design, covering any orange areas with white designs. i also didnt want to do the same gradient lips again, so I kept it simple by darkening the top and bottom edge of my lips only.
im also wearing horns because i made them a while ago and thought it would pair well with this BJD faceup but uhhh...maybe next time i should check if theyre the same length.
the lashes are custom made! I took Eylure Grand Glamour lashes and placed curled pieces of black paper on top. ive been doing this trick for over a year now; watch the video below if you want to see how i make them:

also i placed gems on the ends of the paper lashes to cause it to cascade down my eyes. it feels really strange to wear but i like the effect it creates :3
