During 2021, four more units – of the seven total units for Keeyask – were brought online for a total of five units, producing just under 500 MW of clean, renewable power for generations to come.
During the snow-free months, work outside of the powerhouse continued for the Earthworks and Environment groups.
Roads and ramps were removed, security gates and fencing were put up, the final roadway was being lined with guardrails, work areas were being decommissioned, and sites were being environmentally remediated and covered with organics to begin the return to their natural states.
In the background of all this, the Main Camp staff continued to provide everything needed to give the residents a comfortable place to come back to when the workday is done.
