A Blender mini-tutorial.
When you find a Blender (.blend) model on the internet and choose to download and import it, quite often the layout will update to the layout the model's creator used. This can be really weird if you're not used to it, especially if you're just learning Blender. But, there's one simple step when loading the model that will retain your layout, Load UI and it takes less than a minute you to show you.
