The idea is not only practical, but surprisingly pretty. With pastel-colored collectors hanging from the trees, the street almost looks like an outdoor umbrella exhibition. And when the sunlight hits them, they even seem to sparkle! Now, these are ginkgo fruits, scattered all over the street. In the past, street cleaners had to constantly sweep them up and remove them. When ginkgo trees turn the streets into a sea of gold, it’s easy to see why we want to keep them around. And sometimes, a simple, ingenious idea is all it takes to enjoy the beauty without the unpleasant smell.
