We reached out to mele practitioners across Hawaiʻi to record themselves sharing a mele that captures how they would reply to these prompts: How do you kūʻokoʻa? and/or What does kūʻokoʻa mean to you? The idea was that as mele practitioners, they would answer these prompts in the video through both the mele they share and any explanations they include along with it.
