Karmelo Anthony has been sentenced to 35 years, and for many of us, this case feels bigger than one courtroom, one verdict, and one young man.
This video is about the deeper system behind the outrage: the criminalization of young Black American, Aboriginal American, American Indian youth; the history of prison labor; the lack of true peer representation in courtrooms; and the way our people are often pushed into emotional reaction instead of strategic action.
This is not a call for chaos. This is a call for consciousness, discipline, unity, legal knowledge, economic power, and community protection.
We have seen this pattern before. We know how movements get hijacked. We know how grief gets used. We know how outrage gets redirected away from the people who are actually suffering.
So now the message is simple: stay focused, stay vigilant, move with wisdom, and build.
Condolences to every family touched by this tragedy. But we cannot ignore what this case represents to our people.
Chief Steve speaks on Karmelo Anthony, the justice system, prison labor, identity, self-defense, and why our people must stop giving energy to distractions and start moving with purpose.
