ÜBER: Kultur im Niedergang ist ein satirischer, jedoch ernster Ausdruck, der die verschiedenen kulturellen Phänomene herausfordert, welche der Großteil der heutigen Gesellschaft für selbstverständlich zu halten scheint. In dieser Serie gilt nichts als heilig außer ein frei stehender Eckpfeiler der grundsätzlichen Logik und Vernunft, was den Betrachter zwingt, aus der Box der Normalität heraus zu treten und unsere gesellschaftlichen Praktiken ohne traditionelles Gepäck und Vorurteile zu betrachten. Häufige Themen sind Politik, Wirtschaft, Bildung, Sicherheit, Religion, Eitelkeit, Governance, Medien, Arbeit, Technologie und andere, auf unser tägliches Leben, zentrierte Themen.

Bio:
Franky Müller is an projectmanager, educator and social-conscious activist. He began devoting more and more energy to social and enviromental causes and their solutions in summer 2009. In the context of advocating for positive change he particularly speaks out on the importance of education regarding the processes of nature and sociological aspects, hence human behaviour. He has authored several content related to TZM in his country and coordinates the LinguisticTeam Germany which is part of the LinguisticTeam International. Beside participating in many other educational projects he has organized several events for The Zeitgeist Movement during his volounteering to coordinate both TZM Chapter Germany and TZM Chapter Frankfurt, where he lives.

Recognized as the largest grassroots social movement in the world with official chapters in over 60 countries, The Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) announces its 7th annual “Zeitgeist Day”.
Also known as “ZDay” for short, this global awareness campaign features a main event with prominent Movement speakers and guests from all over the world, while working in solidarity with hundreds of other parallel events occurring during the same day and/or weekend. The gesture is one of global unity towards social betterment and a more humane society.
Prior main events have been documented by news agencies, including the New York Times and Huffington Post in America, with attendees and members coming from all around the world to discuss the state of society and how to improve it in a real way.
Contrary to most conferences of this nature, TZM does not see needed social changes coming from the political or economic establishment. It sees it coming from the public itself through grassroots reform since TZM views the core problems in the world as actually originating from the very foundation of the eco-politico establishment to begin with.
The problem is the system itself, in the view of The Movement.
The 2015 main event was held in Berlin, Germany at the FORUM Factory on March 14th, 2015,
15:00 - 20:00 CET. The 2015 symposium was titled “The Time Is Now” and will address the growing severity of emerging social destabilization, war, income inequality, slavery, dramatic environmental failures and, in short, overall public health and societal crises playing out on the Earth’s stage today.

Eine der wirklich beunruhigenden Erkenntnisse in punkto Gesundheit ist, dass man nie den Fehler machen sollte, arm zu sein oder arm geboren zu werden. Deine Gesundheit zahlt dafür auf verschiedenste Arten und Weisen - bekannt als „sozioökonomisches Gesundheitsgefälle.
Wenn man von den höchsten Schichten der Gesellschaft hinuntergeht - in Bezug auf den sozialwirtschaftlichen Status - wird die Gesundheit bei jedem Schritt schlechter; es herrschen zig verschiedene Krankheiten. Die Lebenserwartung sinkt. Die Kindersterblichkeit steigt - was auch immer man betrachtet wird schlechter.
Eine große Frage war also, warum dieses Gefälle existiert. Eine simple, einleuchtende Antwort wäre, wenn du chronisch krank bist, wirst du halt nicht sehr produktiv sein, also verstärkt der Gesundheitszustand sozialwirtschaftliche Unterschiede.
Stell dir vor: Wenn du den sozialwirtschaftlichen Status eines 10-Jährigen kennst, kannst du allein daraus vorhersagen, wie sein Gesundheitszustand Jahrzehnte später aussehen wird. Das ist also die Richtung des Kausalzusammenhangs.
Der nächste Punkt, was ist damit: „Arme Leute können es sich nicht leisten, zum Arzt zu gehen; es liegt am Zugang zur Gesundheitsversorgung... Nein, auch damit hat es nichts zu tun, da man die gleichen Vorgänge in Ländern mit öffentlichem Gesundheitswesen und Medikamenten auf Rezept beobachten kann.
Okay - hier kommt die nächste „einfache Erklärung: Im Durchschnitt gilt: Je ärmer du bist, desto wahrscheinlicher ist es, dass du rauchst, trinkst und auch ansonsten einen risikoreichen Lebensstil führst. Ja, diese Faktoren tragen dazu bei, aber gründliche Studien haben gezeigt, dass sie bestenfalls ein Drittel der Variabilität erklären.
Was ist also mit dem Rest? Nun, das fehlende Puzzlestück ist der Stress, den die Armut selbst verursacht. Also, je ärmer du bist, angefangen von der Person, die einen Dollar weniger verdient als Bill Gates... je ärmer du bist in diesem Land, desto schlechter ist im Durchschnitt dein Gesundheitszustand.
Daraus lernen wir etwas wirklich Wichtiges: Gesundheit und Armut hängen zusammen.
Es geht gar nicht darum, arm zu sein, sondern sich arm zu fühlen.
