This thillana in raga Kapi was composed by Veena Sheshanna of Mysore. He enriched Mysore style (baani) of Veena playing and is regarded as the chief exponent of the glorious Mysore baani.
In this production, we have shortened the original composition and introduced a few musical passages to make it more contemporary and also appealing to the common lovers of Carnatic music. This was conceptualized and led by Srinivasa Prasanna (on Veena) accompanied by Vidya Lakshmi (Vocal), V.U.M Ayshwarya (Vocal) and Hariharasudhan V (on Mridangam). The artists collaborated from remote locations to produce this musical piece.
