so this will be a full-fledged video fairly soon from now, but due to several personal issues im just not in a state to finish this right at this moment. i figured it would be better to at least get something out in time for the year's end though so i hope what's here is enjoyable lol
it's usually through these end of the year vids that i like to reflect on ytpmv as a whole, and this year was quite surprising for me honestly. there are a lot of people who have become damn good at this stuff and its really inspiring to see, i dont think i could have even imagined this like 5 or 6 years ago lol. the way things are right now comes pretty close to how ive envisioned an ideal environment for the expression of this side of transformative art. it might sound silly but ive always stuck by the idea that this medium should not only bring entertainment to those who watch it, but that making it should also be fun and should bring the best out of the creative sides of everyone participating. that being said it's been a bit over 12 years for me now, and it's wild to think that this hobby ive shared with scores of friends and collaborators still persists and is still great fun. i like to think that it's proof that the spirit of it will always exist, whether it's through different mediums or even a different name further down the line. and it will always be a great joy of mine to be a part of it.
with these i also like to reflect on my own life a little bit but it's probably fairly inappropriate to rant about any of my personal issues from this year in detail here lol. all i'll say is that starting from a few days ago i dont think ive ever been this angry in my life, and that i think ive fundamentally changed as a person on some level. at least i can say that ive replaced the funk i was in with extensive anger :^)
