Today I have a Kale Kilit 164 GNC lock that I purchased off of eBay. This lock is a Blue Belt ranked lock in the LPU belt ranking system. When looking at my lock after gutting it I noticed that it does differ from what is on the Belt site, mine only having 5 pins compared to the pictured 6 pins.
At first glance of the lock’s pins, I was unsure as to why it is ranked as a Blue Belt, since it only has standard and spool drivers, but after picking it I can see an argument for why it is Blue. The Keyway is somewhat tight, not so much for pick movement but for TOK tensioning. I needed to use a .025” tension tool to pick it. Either way, hopefully this is entertaining or helpful.
