This is a 120 star playthough of Kaizo Mario 64 completed entirely without savestates by me. They were only used at the beginning of every star and then edited together into one seamless playthough. I recorded this in between attempts of doing Hero Story, but overall it didn't take very long. If this was an RTA attempt, it'd just come under 2 hours 30 minutes, about 7 minutes faster than the world record. I'm by no means that good at speedrunning Mario 64 in general, but I thought this was pretty cool.
Considering this was the first ever kaizo hack all the way back from 2009, I honestly didn't find it too bad at all. Sure there are a couple of really janky bits of level design, but the entire hack as a whole was alright. The bowser stages and TTC were probably the hardest parts, but even then it wasn't anything like I've beaten already. More Hero runs to come in the future, but now I'll be focusing on Tears of the Kingdom for the next several weeks!

Im super happy with this time! Honestly never thought Id get a 1:02 on this track but Im glad the grind paid off.
I know that theres a faster strat involving a double-tap dive at the end of lap 2, but I practiced this for a couple of hours but couldnt quite manage it, so I settled for the next best strats :)
Im enjoying time attacking this game at the minute so hopefully Ill be uploading a couple more runs.")
