Kaaterskill High Peak in the Catskills of NY. An easy hike until it isn’t. Don’t be like me and hike it after a ton of rain....
A mostly easy hike on a snowmobile trail, then turn left on to a herd path. That part is what makes it a "trail-less" Catskill peak. That last .7 miles wouldn't typically bother me but after being dumped on with a lot of rain it was muddy and slick.
