This version of Panchamukhi Tala belongs to ‘Mukhi’ Tala System, created by Legendary Vocalist – Composer – Musician, Padma Vibhushan Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna. In this, the Sashabdha Kriyas of Adi Tala (1st, 5th & 7th Beats) get a count of 5 / Khanda Nade & the Nishabdha Kriyas get a count of 2 / Chaturashra Nade. Hence the total count of Panchamukhi Tala is 5+2+2+2+5+2+5+2 = 25 Akshara
