Omega Interface 100% (Extreme Demon) by Platnuu Zeus [GD] 2025-06-26 | This isn’t something I ever thought I would beat. Since I’m trying to balance my skillset, I decided to give this a go. The waves felt impossible at first, but after pushing through that grind, they did get much more consistent. Even the waves in the second half of the level took a while for me to get down, and those never felt consistent. This level caused me to struggle a bit, as seen by the fact that I got 74 a whole week before beating it, 74x3 being my worst fail. My biggest issue was the consistency. My consistency varied a lot during sessions and it felt incredibly random. I’d go 10 minutes without even being able to pass 10%, then get 5 attempts past 35% in the next 10. I’m very happy I clutched the ending because I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get back there. The Rupture 100% (Extreme Demon) by Ka1ns Zeus [GD] 2025-06-26 | I tried to start this level maybe 2-3 years ago but I found the ship and wave parts to be too inconsistent. I came back now and felt much better on them, but they are still definitely brutal. The 36% ship never felt fully consistent, and it took a while to get comfortable with the drop ship and 27% wave. The first half of the dual is also pretty tough. Despite this, I really like this level. The darkness and song instill a threatening atmosphere that I believe the inconsistent gameplay enhances well. Escape Room 100% by SleyGD Zeus [GD] 2025-06-10 | This is almost certainly my best performance in this game. While playing Bloodlust I began playing with lower input delay. It took a bit to adjust but I think I’ve gotten myself used to it considering how quickly I beat this. I picked it up, played for 4 days, and got 61%. I then left for a camping trip, but on the day I returned I got 35-100, followed by 24-100. When I played from 0 I pretty quickly got a new best of 73, then beat it not too long after. The ending of this level is very chokeable which is why I’m especially surprised by my luck here. This level is certainly not my skillset. It’s XL and very ship heavy, which are two things I’m pretty bad at. While playing this level, I fixed up some keyboard settings which reduced input delay and made ship feel easier to control. I died 10 times in the extension which I think is pretty good! This level is very skill-based, and I somewhat went out of my way to avoid using visual cues since I’d like to get better at reacting to gameplay. Being bad at this is why my skillset is skewed toward timings and away from wave/ship. Because of this, my consistency on this level felt very fragile. I got 92 twice many sessions before beating this. However, I think this experience did help with balancing my skillset. Neon Skyline (Extreme Demon) by Reshiria Zeus [GD] 2025-02-23 | Interesting experience! I originally planned to beat this after Congregation, but I thought it would be better to go to CITRA next since it’s pretty much the opposite of cong. LD50 and Fog were low so I tackled those all while Neon Skyline was in the background. Because of this, my attempt count is pretty bloated. After a week-long vacation I finally managed to sit myself down for enough sessions to finish this off! It fits my skillset pretty well but I still struggled a bit. The level felt impossible at first but it got a lot more consistent than I expected, the predrop especially. I found this to be roughly the same difficulty as CITRA. I’d like to mention, many victors of this level seem to hate it mainly for the chokepoints. I truly do not understand why. They are not that bad. Just get a decent visual cue if you need to and practice. All the hard timings got very consistent. The video clearly shows me being paused for roughly 2 seconds, but it felt like I was paused for at least 10. LD50 100% (Extreme Demon) by StarkyTheSalad Zeus [GD] 2025-01-15 | I saw this got placed right around the difficulty range I wanted to grind, and since the level looked really cool, I decided to go for it. Learning was difficult but once I got it down the level was mostly consistent. The difficulty is mostly concentrated in the second half of the level, starting at the ship part at 48. I mainly struggled with the ship sections of this level. 49-56, 62-65, and the 89 gap all were very difficult for me. The wave at 78% probably would have been too if it didn’t have skips. I had 5 deaths at 80, because without the skips, that was the only hard part. It was more inconsistent than hard really. Releasing the wave changes how you do the next few clicks so it was really easy to choke.I still enjoyed my time with this level! I ended up enjoying this level a lot more than I expected! The difficulty increases as you go further into the level, which sounds bad, but since the level is so short, I never felt like the predrop was a drag. This level does have some timings that are simply brutal, but they got surprisingly consistent. I would recommend this to anyone who’s beaten at least one or two levels harder than it. I imagine this wouldn’t be great as a hardest.I did get kinda unlucky (including a 97 death lol) but I wasn’t too bothered. Sewage (Top 100 Layout) Zeus [GD] 2025-01-09 | This is an interesting layout for me. I started building this around 7 months ago. I wanted to remake a very old layout of mine (this is actually the 4th iteration) with a theme in mind. With Midnight Moonlight, I was very strict about what I wanted out of the level. This time, I opted to be more carefree with what gameplay elements I added. It’s very noticeable that this layout is a mesh of fun ideas I had, especially in the first third of the level. Despite this more carefree attitude, I still kept some general ideas for what I wanted in mind. The level is pretty high CPS, but I was careful not to make the entire level spammy since that would just kill your finger.I’ve learned a lot about what makes gameplay fun for me in the past few months. I tried to make all the clicks in this level fairly easy and have the difficulty come from putting it all together. I tried to avoid “forced difficulty” as much as possible. Levels are better when they’re not designed to be as hard as possible. I also let go of forcing sync, and to be more specific, forcing a click pattern. There are click patterns that sync, but they are intertwined with other gameplay elements.The wave section is randomized. The corridors generate differently every attempt. It’s about ¾ through the level so it’ll be pretty nerve racking to get there from 0. I wanted to test players’ nerve control and sightreading. You may have noticed that the start and end of the level have the same gameplay. Was I just being lazy? Partly, probably. However, I’ve always been curious about how gameplay might be perceived if it were placed elsewhere in a level. I decided, since the song just repeats the start, to include that gameplay twice.Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised with how this layout turned out. Despite my approach, it feels pretty cohesive. I’ll try to apply this mindset to future projects. Difficulty wise, it’s probably somewhere on the extended list at the moment. Congregation 100% (Extreme Demon) by Presta Zeus [GD] 2024-12-12 | WOW what a journey. I started this right after cog and didn’t really know what to expect. I’m good at timings, and since this level is pretty low on the list I shouldn’t struggle too much right? Well, I severely underestimated how much my lack of XL experience would hinder my ability to complete this level. It was truly a mental challenge. The gameplay itself never felt too difficult. Even the chokepoints all got decently consistent. The big issue for me was the drop cube, which is strange because by raw gameplay difficulty, it’s not even close to the hardest part. Somehow, though, a bunch of cube timings with roughly the same difficulty and spacing allows mindblocks to flourish. It definitely didn’t help that I had multiple seconds before that part to just think. I had a similar issue with erebus; the long auto section caused me to overthink the coming gameplay. Oh well. It’s done! There’s probably more I could say, but at this point, I can’t be asked. I built up some consistency while building and playtesting, then got the level in two runs while playing on and off just for fun. After Arctic Lights, I felt ready to go for this. Progress was smooth at first up until 73, where I died there 6 total times before finally passing it (foreshadowing) on my 7th attempt there to reach 91%. Then it started happening. I got 91% on February 29th, which was about a month after I picked it up for real, so I naturally assumed I would be finished soon after. The gameplay is incredibly cluttered with very thoughtlessly placed obstacles. The set of inputs between 42-43 is incredibly awkward and difficult, and it’s made worse by the spikes which are difficult to see randomly placed along the slopes. The deco is pretty decent for a nine circles level. It definitely feels cold, if that makes sense. A few months ago Zeniux and I decided to make a 2-player level. Since we’ve made multiple collabs and beaten multiple tough 2-player demons together, combining those into one project was a natural move. Zeniux knew he wanted to try something cave-themed, so we found a song and I began working on gameplay. For the gameplay in this, I wanted to include gimmicks that matched the theme of the level. I felt that there were a lot of unexplored ideas with 2-player levels, so I implemented some gimmicks into the level that I don’t believe feature in any other level. It took a while for me to finish the gameplay, but Zeniux made quick work of the decoration so that wasn’t an issue.Two years ago Zeniux and I tried to beat Bang Gang by Danzmen but unfortunately, the meetup ended before we were able to complete it. With that failure lingering in the back of our minds, we knew we had to focus and make sure we didn't repeat history. Unfortunately, playing with a time limit makes the game much more stressful and less fun. Our reaction probably makes this clear since it sounds more like relief than a typical celebratory reaction. However, we did manage to get this done which I’m super happy about. We played for about 1-2 hours on day one, then 6-7 hours on the two days proceeding. Luckily, we managed to beat it on the third day.I’m very happy with how this level turned out. Although a couple gimmicks had to be scrapped due to trigger and complication issues, the level still reflects my improvement as a gameplay creator and Zeniux as a decorator. The pulses and lighting used, as well as the song, give the level a unique charm. Many levels these days try to be intimidating. This level attempts to be more straightforward and inviting, which is executed very well. Due to the skillbased nature of the gameplay, I can’t say I would recommend this as a hardest. The wave midsection would likely be a huge roadblock to someone looking for a first extreme. This level is definitely more suited to the seasoned extreme demon grinder with high skill. I hope to see them try this out and enjoy it! Endless Dream was super well-received and it looked like something I’d want to try. After beating xo, I decided it was time to give these levels a go, and I can say I don’t regret it one bit. Both levels were a smooth experience; I learned them and gained consistency every day until completion. I managed a funny little fluke on Endless Dream and had pretty few end deaths on Faded Dream. My more in-depth opinions on the level can be found below:Endless DreamEverything about this level just works. All the gameplay is very fair and satisfying, and the deco sets up an intense experience that builds progression flawlessly. Some very minor issues prevent this from being a 10/10, however. The ufo click at 54 is a bit too hard, one ship transition has an unnecessary correction, and the wave at like 56 has some unneeded hitboxes. Again these are VERY minor issues. This is still a masterpiece and I highly recommend trying it!Enjoyment: 9.5/10Level Rating: 9.5/10Faded DreamThis is similar to Endless Dream, though I like the deco progression in this even more. The name represents the level’s theme better, and the mainly black and white designs in Dreamtide’s style give the level a decent bit more identity. Unfortunately, this level has more gp issues than Endless, despite having equally if not better base gameplay. There are random invisible hitboxes that you have to memorize. The only other issue is the dual being a bit too finicky. It requires a lot of focus and tracking both icons at once in one part. It still is very satisfying and builds intensity perfectly, however, I wish it wasn’t nearly as hard. I would still highly recommend this if you want something a bit more learny!Enjoyment: 9.5/10Level Rating: 9/10Overall I love both of these levels. When I started seeing his progress on the layout I knew it was going to be a banger. The layout was decorated by GiggsRH and after some balancing, it was ready to be verified.I officially began verifying on February 1st and grinded it hard. Progress was slow but steady and I reached 51% on Feb 9th. This seemed to start a mental block for me, because it took three weeks, three more deaths at 51, and countless other deaths in the 40s to finally get a new best at 54%. Getting this new best must’ve broken the mind block because only THREE MINUTES later, I got 79%. Took a while to get a new best after that given the minor progress fluke that is 54 to 79. But it did happen; I got 81%. I didn’t really expect this to be my furthest death because there aare multiple hard/chokeable clicks after 81. Even though I got 81%, I felt that I was hitting a wall with consistency. I wasn’t getting better at the level for like a week, which was beginning to stress me out. Luckily, a 26-100 run seemed to boost my confidence with the ending and the level as a whole, as the very next stream I managed to verify it. I’m so happy that I was given this opportunity; the level is awesome and I’m glad I got to be a part of it.Dedicated to GiggsRH and Koopazu for making this awesome level, hstorm and maxis for being supportive and great friends, and everyone who showed up to my Dump streams on Twitch. If I had to guess, I’d say it could go somewhere between 50 and 60 on the list but I easily could be way off. Wulzy’s 1.9 Insane Demon is FUN! Zeus [GD] 2023-02-12 | For those wondering about the wheel, levels are added from a channel point redemption on my twitch channel. I spin the wheel every week and beat the chosen level.Now for the level in this video, Woahsonic by @Wulzy. This was honestly a lot of fun. As someone who usually dislikes memory, I actually found this one to stand above most other memory levels I’ve played. Mainly because a decent amount of the memory was built in a way that made the route more intuitive. This made the learning process less painful, as I was able to use my understanding of the game to figure out the route rather than guess and check. Despite this, it’s still memory at the end of the day and there were a couple of non-intuitive sections which dragged it down a bit for me. Once the learning process was over, the level was great. Super satisfying and consistent gameplay. The video may make it seem like I was angry, but that was only at my poor performance. And for the deco, it’s quite nice 1.9 design. [LIVE] SUNSET SANDSTORM 100% (Extreme Demon) by Crohn44 Zeus [GD] 2023-01-15 | Sunset Sandstorm! A level I’ve always wanted to do considering my skillset and general liking of these first half heavy cube levels. Originally I was going to do it later, but then I realized how low it was getting on the list so I decided to get it done quickly before it fell off. Playing it, I could tell how much I’ve been improving at GD. Hopefully this improvement continues :)As for the level itself, I love it. The repetition of the predrop is super cool, and it’s broken up frequently enough to remain engaging. My only small issue came with the part between the first cube and the drop, specifically the ufo. It’s just a little awkward, with some of the setup gameplay feeling a bit too far out of the player’s control. Luckily this is a very minor issue for me. The whole rest of the level felt fair and fun. The way you feel upon reaching the drop is insane. After going through the brutal predrop and chokeable midsection, you reach the most intense part of the level. The way the predrop and midsection slowly introduce more orange to the screen gives you a solid sense of progression, leading to the drop being able to hit as hard as it does. The drop is flashy and colorful, but still retains the theme. Never before seeing this level could I have imagined that rainbow could be incorporated so well into a desert styled level, but here we are. The drop gameplay and deco work super well with music, so you feel super cool playing it, especially after passing all of the predrop. [LIVE] FROZEN CAVE 100% (Extreme Demon) by TheParadoxTeam Zeus [GD] 2023-01-08 | A new 2nd hardest! And a 2nd mainlist at that. I’ve always wanted to go for this level as it’s been something that intrigued me and fit my skillset pretty well. I picked up and did some small runs on the level without the intent to beat it, just to see how it played. I racked up around 11k attempts doing this. After I finished the Hell Trilogy, I decided that I was ready to tackle another mainlist. And here we are! It took less than a month to beat after I picked it up with the intent to beat it.As for the level itself, it is very good. Unique yet enjoyable gameplay, a bit on the learnier side but still very accessible. I would recommend this level as a hardest or to anyone really. There are a couple minor issues, however. After the dual wave/ball at 39, there are two clicks that have invisible hitboxes which I found very frustrating to die to. The wave at 59 also felt too hard but I THINK that’s a skill issue on my end.
