Out first experience with the 1990s Mini Disc audio format, listening to everything from 1980s chewing gum ads to early 2000s Japanese hip-hop! In an alternate universe, Mini Disc could have easily replaced cassette. When MD was released, I was already committed to CD and eventually CD-R met my digital recording needs. I only ran across MD "in the wild" one time in the United States being used by a DJ at a wedding reception.
