Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, aided by Liberal candidate Tamara Taggart and other Liberal MPs, kicked off Election 2019, the Canadian Federal Election Choose Forward champaign in Vancouver BC Canada on September 11, 2019 at the Italian Cultural Centre. The venue is in Vancouver Kingsway, a ridding where Tamara Taggart is seeking a seat in the Canadian parliament. Present were other BC riding candidates including Harjit Sajjan, Vancouver South, Will Davis, New Westminster–Burnaby, Hedy Fry, Vancouver Centre, Steven Kou, Richmond Centre, Taleeb Noormohamed, Vancouver Granville, Joe Peschisolido, Steveston–Richmond East, Joyce Murray, Vancouver Quadra, Nikki Macdonald, Victoria, Randeep Sarai, Surrey Centre and many more.
On September 11, 2019, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau arrived at Rideau Hall in Ottawa and asked Gov. Gen. Julie Payette to dissolve Parliament and be ready for Election 2019, Canada's 43rd general election. The 2019 Election is to be held on Oct. 21. If successful, Justin Trudeau will be serving a mandate to serve a second term as a prime minister.
In the last few months, Trudeau was troubled by the conflict-of-interest accusations from the SNC-Lavalin incident and the Huawei Vice President Meng Wanahou U.S. extradition matter which affected Canada's relationship with China, a major trading partner. Trudeau's opponents include Andrew Scheer, leader of the Progressive Conservative Party, NDP's Jagmeet Singh, Yves-Francois Blanchet of the Bloc Québécois, Green Party's Elizabeth May, and People's Party of Canada's Maxime Bernier.
