In efforts to put a little levity on the album, and also include some sort of nod to popular music, I chose to arrange one of my favorite tunes, Bill Withers’ timeless classic, Just the Two of Us. I’m interpreting the piece as another lullaby, and the meaning of the “Two of Us” in this context being a child and their guardian, complete the Cosmic nature of all the magic entailed with “Building Castles in the Sky”.
