Every big decision I’ve made in life has brought me countless rewards that I could not have anticipated.
When I was 19, I was let go from my job working on a construction site in Montreal. So I went down to the dock and asked to see the captains of various ships. On day three, I found work on a German freighter called the Gerda Schnell, and then I worked my way across to Europe.
This one decision changed the entire trajectory of my life for the better! But I had to make the leap.
