It's hard to pick a favorite slugcat. Artificer's ability was really difficult to use at first but I did get used to it after about an hour. Once I did it was quite fun to use the double jump as a shortcut constantly. Had to remind myself a lot that I can't go underwater for a swim boost... Saint's overall mobility and vulnerability make them really fun to play (if you don't die lol) but the karma drop thing was kind of annoying since I have a tendency to fool around and get distracted by doing stupid risky stuff and die before I can get a karma flower, locking myself to the region. Also didn't really get to use the ability to its fullest potential since there is less time for it when you have low karma... Once the karma dropped I kind of just didn't play saint again because I didn't really want to bother with the grind to get back up. Thankfully in the next version of MSC saint will not have the losing all karma upon death thing anymore! Gourmand was somehow very entertaining despite the pretty minimal changes. The lowered chance of death by a lizard bite made me more courageous, and with a little patience the random item ability could help in a lot of situations. The exhaustion thing was not very much of a con (though I like mobility so I'd prefer it stay that way). I also liked having to actually look for food. Rivulet's added mobility did not quite match up with the short cycle times I feel, for instance their running and climbing and sliding speed was the same as a regular slugcat's, so all they had was the jump boosts to help them out a bit. Shelters were pretty much always in reach but it just kind of felt limiting to not be able to go to others. Swimming on the other hand was a complete joyride, rivulet can go just about as fast as a jetfish and it's awesome.
