I have to say my first idea was a throuple, because you love that, I like the idea, and I totally imagine the 3 of them together as a throuple. WHY NOT? But it was so complicate, find voiceovers and scenes so I made something more angst. SORRY.
(READ THE PLOT AFTER WATCH THE VIDEO)
- So let's say that Juliet (Liz) and Myka (Joanne) are two cops in a romantic and happy married, and suddently appears Alice (Ruth) who is accused of murdered but are not enough evidences... Juliet had to investigated it but she felt in love with the criminal, and Myka knows about it, but she refuses to leave her wife, she accepts that as an affair, that it will be over soon and her marriage will survive it. And it was, for Alice it was just a temporary thing, but not for Juliet. Alice left her and Juliet realizes that it was a mistake, Myka is her true love, who is always there for her, but it is too late, Myka deserves better and she just moved on.
DO I LOVE DRAMA, YES? I DO.
I hope you like it, my crazy idea, it is obvious that Alice left because she is in love with me!!! XD

Here is my interpretation of the movie or what I would like, tragic lesbians always.
I know there are people who did not like it. They had other expectations, I respect it. But do not say bullshit like they look mother/daughter just because you did not ship it as you wish... Saoirse is 26 and Kate 45.. I did not see nobody complaining about the age different in Carol.
It is a peculiar movie, not for everybody. No dialogues, details, I would say rough. But I liked it, not my fav but it was good. And both actresses did it very well.
But I must admit, I would not complain with a different ending.. Mary and her former no lover Elizabeth after notice they didnt try harder in their past because they were scared (?) so interesting story, maybe better than the main plot.
Anyway WATCH THE MOVIE, not just the porn!!

The movie was OKAY, a xmas comedy... I was not waiting for a cult movie, just a funny and easy one and it was more than tolerable. I watched a lot of baaaaaad lesbian movies in my life so I can see that this one was made with love and by LGBT+ people. But honestly, a bit tired of the eays plot of coming out its 2020!!! But I liked the scene between abby and her friend, it felt so honest, and true... everybody has their own experience, and all of them are value and we must respect people choices.
SHIP NAMES?????????? Ribby? Abbley? Rilyy? hahahha I am so bad in this.

IS SUMMERLAND THE MOVIE OF 2020?
IT TOTALLY IS.
1) Best acceptance scene ever.
2) Best plow twist + happy end ever.
I mean, if a fanfic could be a lesbian movie... Here we have it. I almost die when I saw the cliffhanger!!!
I watched it a week ago and I am still assimilating ALL!!
I hate that always the plot to separate lesbians is be a mother or not to be.. In 1940 I could understand that it was a problem so I accept it but not anymore, not in 2020. Anyway, Alice is the best mum ever and she doesnt know it.
My edit is just pure AU because well the movie is so perfect that it doesnt need nothing to be fixed. So I created my own version (also it is a good way to not really sppiler you, and now GO AND WATCH IT!!)
Gemma and Gugu are spectacular but Gemma, well Gemma Arterton is OTHER LEVEL. If I have to choose my fav lesbian character ever probably Alice Lamb is top 1.
I have nothing to recriminate her.
