I'm working on a dining room table and here I'm just cutting up some solid sapele for the top. Sapele resembles mahogany and comes from the Congo. The quarter sawn wood looks amazing, especially with a high gloss finish. This table top is going to be carved with a tree pattern to match the base and coating with a high gloss epoxy finish and resin inlay that will be underlit with l.e.d. lighting.
