But counterfeit doesn’t mean the gift isn’t real. In fact, the existence of a fake usually proves there’s something authentic worth imitating.
The key isn’t becoming cynical or suspicious of everyone. The key is clarity. When you know what the Bible actually teaches, you can recognize what’s real, what isn’t, and how the Body of Christ is meant to function. Right teaching brings right perspective. And when that happens, the Church can operate the way it was designed to.
