These might be the only TWO apps you need to reach an advanced level of English. And the best part? You can do this on your own, and it’s almost free.

In this video, I’ll show you exactly how to combine ChatGPT (or any AI chatbot) with Anki (digital flashcards) to improve your English step by step.

STEP-BY-STEP METHOD

*Step 1: Create Your Sentences with ChatGPT

- Open ChatGPT (or Gemini, Claude, Grok, etc.).
- Ask it to make sentences based on a topic you struggle with (e.g. verb patterns).
- Get the sentences in English AND your native language side by side.
- Export them into a CSV file (or copy into Google Sheets/Excel).

The key here is to create sentences specific to your life and your learning.

*Step 2: Import Sentences into Anki

- Open Anki and click Import File.
- Choose your CSV file → set field one as the front (English) and field two as the back (translation).
- This gives you digital flashcards you can study every day.

*Step 3: Add Audio (Optional but Powerful)

- Install the AwesomeTTS plugin.
- Generate audio for each card so you can hear the sentences spoken out loud.
- This trains listening + pronunciation while you review.

*Step 4: Study with Spaced Repetition

- Open your deck and review a few cards each day.
- Repeat sentences out loud, write them down, and listen carefully.
- The software automatically shows you sentences again at the right time, so you’ll never forget them.

*Step 5: Build Fluency Naturally

As you practice, you’ll notice grammar and patterns (like gerunds/infinitives) coming out naturally. Expand your sentences over time with different tenses and variations. Keep repeating until speaking feels automatic.

Why This Works

- Trains all four skills: listening, reading, writing, speaking.
- Builds real-life English without memorizing grammar rules.
- Uses repetition so you don’t waste time relearning.
- Works for ANY level and ANY native language.
