This omitted sequence from JURASSIC PARK is based on a scene in Michael Crichton's novel when Muldoon & Gennaro are tasked with tranquilizing the escaped T-Rex. After arriving by Jeep, Muldoon quietly sets up his shot as Gennaro nervously watches. After Muldoon fires, the Rex attacks, sending Gennaro driving off before Muldoon can get back in the Jeep. A scuffle follows, with Muldoon nearly being ran over by the Jeep and almost chomped by the Rex.
